Several hours in, a change would take place in the winged man. Observers would see him move off to the side, lean against a wall, clutching his head, apparently in some pain. It fades moments later, and when he lowered his hands, the imposing, military bearing he'd had minutes prior would evaporate, leaving something altogether more approachable and human.

Jimmy looked around the room at the milling strangers and the banquet tables. After a few unsuccessful attempts to engage the servants in any productive line of conversation, he turned his attention to finding friends, and, more importantly, his daughter.

An influx of newcomers isn't entirely a novel thing, he's seen it before, but all it takes is a moment's sustained eye contact to notice that this time isn't like the last. These strangers are aware of him, and to them he will respond with a small smile, half welcome and half sympathy for being in the situation he's been in himself for far too long.

"Hey... just get here?"

Castiel hated the house on the best of days, but on days like this, he really hated it. Cold didn't usually register with him, no more than the physical pain of mundane weapons, but sometimes the house contrived to make him sensible of it--and since it had also left him with a pair of large, black, physical wings that made clothing above the waist virtually impossible, it was incredibly annoying. And uncomfortable. He stood near a fireplace, stubbornly refusing to shiver though the feathers on the immense black wings were puffed out in a reflexive effort to conserve warmth.

Rachel: Sister, lieutenant, future murder victim.

Rei Kurosawa: Friend, ally. Explainer of Things.

Alex Marino: Potential ally.

Soma Cruz: Grudging ally.

CHARACTER NAME: Castiel
CHARACTER SERIES: Supernatural

[OOC]

Backtagging: Highly encouraged.
Threadjacking: Totally okay!
Breaking the fourth wall: Please don't. He has a hard enough time with pop culture in context, let alone something like that.
Potential for my character breaking the fourth wall: None. He's kind of hopeless with human culture.
Offensive subjects: Supernatural references the Christian mythos, canonical and apocryphal, but not everything is translated directly. (Lucifer's motivation is jealousy vs pride/vanity; Gadreel, a grigori according to lore, appears as an angel while grigori are introduced as a separate class later... artist license, basically.) I don't really see anyone much being offended by it in the context. They're pretty careful to stay away from potential sore spots (nobody comments on Jesus).

On that note, however, please talk to me before taking the conversation down that road since it's going to necessitate some hardcore evasion and/or on-the-fly headcanon crafting on my part.

Friendly Interactions:

Befriending: It may take some work, he's still learning his way around the concept, but I highly encourage it. "Friend" is still more of a category/job description to him; he's formed friendships outside the Winchesters (i.e. Rei Kurosawa) but when he talks about it they are always "a friend." He hasn't quite made it to "my friend" yet because he sees the emotional connection as a byproduct rather than the basis of the relationship.
Hugging: It really depends on who you are and what's going on. (It's less disorienting with family.) He's gotten better at it, but doesn't always know how to handle one if it comes up suddenly. Go for it, though.
Kissing: He has very little experience with this, it is almost guaranteed to confuse him and will result in questions. If you're fine with that, and with generally not getting reciprocation, you're welcome to.

Romantic/Sexual Interactions:

I play Castiel as functionally aro/ace. I ship no ships. Thank you for your understanding.

Flirting: Almost guaranteed to go over his head. But this means hilarity may ensue. Go for it.
Touching: Again, confusing and will result in questions. Reciprocation is highly unlikely. He has a general idea of what constitutes intimacy, and a nebulous concept of propriety, and if you push too far he will nope out. I will likely be in communication with you as the log progresses.
Kissing: I am okay with this provided you understand this is not something that will be picked up and run with. It really depends on the circumstances in the log what he will or won't be receptive to, just pm me and we can discuss it.
Romantic Relationships: He's just not in that headspace. He's still working on degrees and types of platonic relationships, romance is not something he's remotely ready to tackle.
Sex: No. He tried it once at Dean's prompting early in the Apocalypse (Dean can push him into a lot of things, they've reached a point in their friendship where concerned mothers start asking about jumping off hypothetical bridges), it went off the rails more or less immediately and was a disaster for all concerned. He still doesn't understand entirely what went wrong and it's all very confusing. He'd just rather not.

Antagonistic/Aggressive Interactions:

Arguing: Totally okay.
Fighting: Also totally okay.
Injuring/Maiming: It will take extraordinary circumstances or your character coming into possession of an angel blade to make this possible; he does have the auto-healing thing.
Killing: See above.
Mind/Body Control: Psychic contact with angels does not end well for non-vessels. In canon, the psychic Pamela's eyes are burned out when she tries to make contact, ignoring his warnings not to get too close.
Torturing: Again, with the automatic healing this is something that is technically difficult if not impossible to arrange. If your character is or comes into possession of an angel blade, that's a whole other conversation and please pm me.
Rape: No.

Other Interactions:

Mind Reading: Once again, there will likely be painful consequences if your character does not back off in time. He does warn people when/if they poke at him, but if you keep going things will happen.

Warnings: If your character is a demon/monster, they will automatically be treated with suspicion if not hostility. Demons in particular will find it nearly impossible to get on his good side; he trusted one once and got burned bad, he's not about to do it again. Also he is very protective. An attack on Jimmy, Claire, Rachel or a Winchester is effectively a declaration of war.
